You may not know, but I have a secret obsession for French Macarons. Just ask my husband.
I got into this business as a result of my desire to learn, master and produce this finicky little cookie. I jump at any chance to try a new technique or a playful color combination.
When I make French macarons, and I make them often, I watch them as they rise in the oven. And although they often crack and fall flat, I can't stop trying. I pour over articles, buy every cookbook, and literally sweat over making them. A perfectly good day can go awry when I pull a bad batch of macarons out of the oven. I have been known to shout "rise, my pretties!"
My two year old even gets it.
So here are my childr... I mean, macarons. Sighhhh, they make me proud.
